PressEnter appoints Hampus Eriksson Deputy CEO

PressEnter has promoted Hampus Eriksson to the role of Deputy CEO, in recognition of his successful efforts as Chief Product Officer.

Headquartered in Malta, PressEnter Group operates the XLBet, Nitro Casino and 21.com brands, among others.

Mr Eriksson was responsible for the expansion of XLBet to the regulated of Romania and Ontario.

He said he is “thrilled to have been promoted to the role of Deputy CEO,” a role from which he can “lead this organisation to the greatness I know it can achieve.”

Indeed, he will now have a wider remit, including the responsibility of leading the company towards achieving its goals for 2024, in line with the expectations set out following the management buyout of PressEnter in November 2022.

“Following the management buyout, the company is in a much stronger position with the foundations in place to deploy smart, effective strategies for growth,” said Mr Eriksson.

Group CEO Lahcene Merzoug said that “Hampus has achieved great things since ing PressEnter Group and this promotion is a reward for his hard work.

“I have worked with Hampus for more than ten years. He is a highly experienced executive and product specialist. I am confident that we will continue to progress at pace over the months ahead.”

Mr Eriksson’s iGaming career started with International Game Technology back in 2006, eventually ing William Hill International in 2009 and rising through the ranks to the role of Acting CEO and Chief Product Officer at the firm’s Malta-based subsidiary, Evoke Gaming. He also had stints leading the product team at NetEnt and ComeOn, before ing PressEnter Group in 2022.
