‘We like to give back’ – Staff from Betsson Group to embark on 5k walk for Malta breast cancer charity

Betsson Group’s Central Gaming Team is set to embark on a group 5km walk in aid of the local Maltese Group Action for Breast Cancer Awareness, its commercial director Ciara Nic Liam announced on Wednesday.

“We don’t just test and release Games at Betsson, we like to give back as well,” she said.

The fundraiser has already attracted the attention of some of Malta’s leading iGaming companies, with Evolution and Pragmatic Play both donating (€1,000 and €1,500 respectively).

Making the donation, the latter said: “Always very happy to a great company with an amazing initiative.”

“This is a cause very close to my own heart, and this Charity does great work for the 300 women and men diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Malta every year. Anything you can give to would be great,” said Ms Nic Liam.

The participants will be donning pink t-shirts, provided by Betsson, and embarking on the walk on Monday afternoon, to raise awareness and funds.

Malta-based iGaming companies have recently accelerated their charitable initiatives, as COVID seems to have brought into focus the desire amongst many of them to give back to their communities, and as such a number of companies have launched charitable initiatives.
